The temperature range is very linear and wide.
The low end includes +1°C, and the high-end 72°C, although we only recommend a maximum operating temperature of 50°C, because it is reasonably comfortable to touch.
The extended temperature range allows the use of the Air Cooler if the vessel is operated at the upper temperature range of 35°C to 45°C.
The range is linear and predictable because platinum RTD’s are used.
LINEAR SENSORS
The linearity of the temperature sensing stems from the platinum resistance sensors. They are not very linear, but are highly predictable. The temperature linearity is achieved with embedded firmware inside the vessel.

The ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) surrounds the vessel. It has a heater built in and a very low mass. It is cooled to ambient by the fan. It follows the vessel temperature, so that the temperature losses are exactly the same as it was during the calibration. This feature, together with the NEW Bomb Vessel, is a true breakthrough in calorimeters.
