The ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) provides a stable and predictable temperature environment to the bomb.
This allows the bomb to operate in three modes:
- DYNAMIC (ISOPERIBOL)
- ADIABATIC
- ISOTHERMAL
The ATC temperature is different in each mode to emulate the traditional apparatus (from old times).
The ATC surrounds the vessel. It has a heater built in and a very low mass for fast reaction.
It is cooled to ambient by the fan. It follows the vessel temperature, so that the temperature losses are exactly the same as it was during the calibration.
This feature makes the fast operation of the CAL3K-A/AP possible.
All other calorimeters without ATC have to measure the environmental influence to the bomb which takes time. In the CAL3K-A/AP the environmental influence is predictable and stable.
This feature applies to the following CAL3K Systems : CAL3K-AP , CAL3K-A.
BALANCE MASS ENTRY
The default baud rate of the balance port is 2400 baud. The Baud rate can be changed with a PC or from the keyboard (Password). Connect the balance via the balance interface cable (CAL2K-BC) to the CAL3K.
Learn MoreEVENT LOG
The CAL3K has a powerful event log. Every time something changes the Date/Time and value is logged into a circular buffer of approx. 6000 events. These events can be interpreted on a PC. See: PC EVENTS (Coming Soon) or from the keyboard with the STATISTICAL PRINTOUT.
