The following information applies to the : CAL3K-AP , CAL3K-A, CAL3K-F.
The Chassis name and number are required to identify your chassis. However, both have nothing in common. The name can be set via the USB PC port, where the Chassis number (Card number) is set by the factory and it is unique. The chassis name must be set when multiple CAL3K’s are used with Bluetooth and they must be identified. The first 20 characters of the chassis name is the Bluetooth device name.
A Bluetooth adapter is used with the CAL3K system

If a BLUETOOTH adapter is present it will be initialized to the new name. If more than one CAL3K is used, then the procedure must be repeated with the second chassis.
If however TWO BLUETOOTH adapters are used on ONE Chassis then the following procedure must be followed:
- Remove one adapter
- Initialize the first adapter as outlined previously.
- Remove the initialized adapter and plug in the other.
- Initialize the second adapter as before.
- Then plug in the first one and you are ready to go.
Explanation:
The Name initialization procedure initializes BOTH Data port #1 and Data port #2. To prevent setting both to the same Name you have to remove one.
